Galway Christmas Party, 2001. I decided it was an event worthy of getting dressed up for - plus Geraghty's was having a sale. I was in no danger of being lonely - half the brisbane office was in the town.
paris
Easter Weekend in Paris. It was a beautiful spring weekend in the city of love. Unfortunately several thousand other tourists decided to take advantage of the lovely weather. City of Love? No sir, I'd say it was the city of queues.
jp_dura
JP505 and Dura's Going Away Party. We were all going to miss John and Dura. Technically they're the customer and we should have been happy to see the back of them - but they were down there baby. In the trenches. Working side by side with the rest of us.
silverstone
British Grand Prix, Silverstone Raceway. It was the most exciting race I'd seen all season. After qulifying second, Barrichello's car stalled on the starting grid just before the warm up lap. So he started the race in last place. Over the course of the race he worked his way through the pack to finish in second place. Schumacher won due to brilliant tactical play by the ferrari team.
beerfest
Munchen Octoberfest. Surprisingly it wasn't just about the beer. There were many other attractions. Apparently. We were pretty much just there for the beer. I thought that ten months in Ireland would have prepared me for drinking - sadly I was no match for the South Africans... I was forced to bow before their mastery of the fine art of beer drinking... oh well - back to the practice arena... there is always next year.

My trusty calendar informed me it was a Bank Holiday Weekend. Not wanting to spend another weekend playing everquest and dodging j-fucking-lo on MTV, not to mention guilt ridden ads (for just two pounds a month...) I decided that I'd enjoy a quiet weekend with my long lost cousin. Sadly quiet weekends are hard to come by so instead I had to settle for shaving my head, doning weaponry and heavy drinking.
xmas2002
My Xmas Holidays for 2002. Beginning around December 20th.

My folks and I flew into Paris where we would stay the evening before driving south to the French Alps. The plan was to hit the hotel, dump our bags and take a good 'ol look around town. We managed to see the 1st level of the Eiffel Tower.

Snowboarding was in the French Resort of La Plagne. We were relatively lucky with the snow cover considering we were there so early in the season. On the way back to Galway I visited with my cousin Wayne, his fiance Nat and the great Mike T. Wacky hi-jinx ensued.

leavinggalway
The galway office gave me a nice little send off in the quite little pub of An Tobar. By far one of the best nights of drinking I've enjoyed in Galway. I got home at 3. I woke at 5 to start packing for my flight. The taxi came at 8. Thus began one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life - 24 hours in transit to Joburg, sick as a dog.

South Africa Photos
I went to South Africa on my way back from Ireland. It was a pretty damn rough flight. Mainly because the folk in the Galway office decided that I need a send-off before my flight.

Wayne's Wedding
The happy day dawned bright and clear. No major problems - all went as planned and Mr and Mrs Frank tied the knot. Tears flowed. The food was damn good, the wine was excellent and the beer was free.
